A collaboration between two of the UK and Ireland’s most dynamic compositional voices, Brian Irvine and Jennifer Walshe, this piece explores the weird, humorous, dark and exotic world of contemporary vices. Written for ensemble, improvisers, conductor and voice it melts the boundaries between various disciplines including theatre, opera, poetry and contemporary music. Featuring: Paul Dunmall (saxophones), Paul Rogers (double bass), Mark Sanders (drums).
Brian Irvine said, “13 Vices has, and continues to be, a wonderfully messy, chopped up, beautiful, bewitching cocktail of the best people making the best sounds and is a project that myself, collaborator Jennifer (Walshe) and all the gang and very proud of!”
This piece is part of PRS Foundation's New Music Biennial 2017.
