NMC Recordings is a multi-award winning new music charity devoted to enriching cultural life by connecting listeners all around the world to contemporary classical music from Britain and Ireland. In 2015, NMC became the first organisation to receive the prestigious Royal Philharmonic Society’s Leslie Boosey Award for “its outstanding contribution to the furthering of contemporary music in Britain”. Founded in 1989, NMC has released close to 300  recordings encompassing established composers and emerging talent.

Psappha is the North West’s only stand-alone professional contemporary classical music ensemble. Founded in 1991 the group is dedicated to commissioning, performing and promoting new music – particularly by living composers and emerging musicians.

Throughout its 30-year career, Psappha has commissioned and premiered music by more than 500 composers and has performed across the UK and worldwide on five continents. Psappha supports composers at all stages of their careers, inviting them to work with its core musicians to create, develop and present new work. The group also launched its own record label in 1997, and its catalogue of recordings are set for re-release in 2021 through its new relationship with NMC Recordings.

Birmingham Record Company presents eclectic and exciting new releases by artists who challenge, innovate and transform ideas of music today. Based at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in the heart of the UK and with an international outlook.

A completely unique concept, Club Inégales is based at Euston London where Peter Wiegold has directed some 80 performances since 2011. Guests have included, free improviser Evan Parker, folk singer Chris Wood and early music specialist Paula Chateauneuf.

The Club Inégales label draws from these cross-genre, cross-discipline collaborations, releasing highlights of the work of the resident band Notes Inégales with various partners. The music is directed by composer Peter Wiegold, and the co-director of the label is composer Martin Butler.

Founded in 2009, Huddersfield Contemporary Records (HCR) is a label devoted to new music. Based at the University of Huddersfield, and established in partnership between CeReNeM (the Centre for Research in New Music), Huddersfield University Press, and hcmf//, HCR features both established and emerging artists at the cutting edge of music making, including diverse innovations in instrumental composition, electronics, and free improvisation.
